Board Elections 2 2026

Intersect Board Elections 2026

In September 2026, Intersect will once again be running an Intersect Board Election process. A vital opportunity for members to help select the individuals who will oversee Intersect’s strategic direction and ensure it remains aligned with its mission and community values.

Intersect is governed by its board, composed of seven members, four of whom are elected through its membership - therefore making it a majority-elected board. This year, two board seats are available for election as the existing terms for board members, Adam Rusch and Kavinda Kariyapperuma, are due to expire.

Why consider applying?

Serving on the Intersect Board is an opportunity to give back to the Cardano community by helping steward an organization created to support its members and the wider ecosystem. Directors bring the perspectives of Intersect’s membership into the Board’s deliberations, but the role is more than representative, each Director must exercise independent judgment and act in the best interests of Intersect and its mission to serve Cardano.

What are the roles & responsibilities?

As a Wyoming not-for-profit corporation, Intersect is governed under the direction of its Board. Directors collectively take responsibility for the organization’s strategic direction, governance, financial sustainability, risk oversight, and accountability. Candidates should therefore be prepared to devote the necessary time, arrive well-informed, ask difficult questions, manage conflicts of interest responsibly, and be accountable for the decisions the Board makes. Directors should be ready to undertake that responsibility in service to Intersect and the Cardano community.

Before applying, we encourage potential applicants to review the responsibilities and expectations section on the Intersect Board Knowledge Base to fully understand the expectations and commitments of the role. The two elected candidates will serve a 2-year term, this ensures continuity while allowing new voices to regularly join the Board.
